Custom Utility Barge - Design & Build

APP-Marine offers complete utility barge design and production services. With over 50 years of aluminum pontoon boat experience, we bring our team of in-house engineers and production specialist together to support our customer projects. Services include CAD prepared drawings, technical specifications, and custom engineering solutions. Our service barges range from 8x8 to 8x14 with lifting, pushing, and towing. The following pictures provide an overview of the process.

Pontoon construction and frame design are based on customer specifications to include loading, deck size, lifting, or special equipment mountings. Materials are marine-specific and commercial grade.

Custom commercial marine fabrication is used to adapt to customers special requirements. In this build, a push bar device is required to maneuver floats. Additional supports and mounting are design engineered to allow for height adjustments.

The deck is designed using high-quality materials and stainless steel fasteners. Note the extruded aluminum edges and corner covers.

Operation safety is a primary design parameter. Note the heavy-duty safety railings, safety chains, work flags, and life rings.

Transom-mounted electric or gas marine engines to 10 hp are mounted to the heavy-duty supports.

All services from engineering, fabrication, and assembly are completed at our Rose City, MI factory.
